Would you like some cheese with that "wine"?

I like to consider myself a "Wino"! In my definition, it means I've been to a few vineyards and participated in some tastings (with hopes of going to more) but mainly because I just love wine!

one day has dreams of making a boat with them
Usually I buy a bottle each week...and like to try different brands and different grapes (each kind of wine refers to the actual grape that is used in making the wine). What attracts me to a particular wine at first is definitely it's outside appearance.......usually the price tag is what is the deciding factor in the end.  I have a similar attraction to wine bottles, as I do to most everything else in life....the EXPENSIVE kind!! But, at this point in my life, I have to stick to the affordable options....at least for now.
I also prefer red wine....so I'm going to start the first installment of  "Kirsten's Wine Review" with one of my favs.....with hopes of converting some of you white wine drinkers out there.

the Littlest Penguin Shiraz
South Eastern Austraila
price point: approx. $15.99/bottle
Full-bodied
Spicy with bold flavors of Plum and Blackberry
Pairs well with: spicy pastas, beef stew, filet mignon, ahi yellowfin tuna or veggie stirfrys
*rule of thumb: pair a heavier (fuller) wine with heavier foods*

a little closer look at the bottle so that you know
what you are looking for

where I like to relax, sip, blog, watch my
shows, or read my fav magazines
